Switching Hearts

Just wanted to post a quick one.
I was giving Jaedon a hug the other day... let me back up... We do this thing where we tease each other every once in a while... one of us will try to get a kiss and the other plays hard to get. So basically we tackle each other and "steal it". We'll say something like "Fine!! I'm just gonna TAKE the love then!!" (yeah, I know... sounds kinda cheesy in writing, but try to get past that...lol) So anyway... I was giving him a hug the other day and he goes "You were taking my love and I was taking your love". Then he pauses and says "so does that mean we switched hearts?"

OMG I love him so much!

...Speaking of stealing the love... Check out my little man getting "robbed" at his birthday party.
I think this HAS to be my favorite picture from that day. :D

Family

*sigh* ahhhhhh... I just love our family. :)

We went out to Morton's tonight to celebrate Mat's 40th birthday. We talked, we laughed, Cam cried, we ate, Cam cried some more, we drank, we spilled. Well...Michael spilled. LOL!! And of course he blamed it on me to the waiter. hahaha I would've expected nothing less. ;) We had so much fun just being together. We had our own private room so the kids were able to get down and stretch their legs... okay so they ran around like wild monkeys, but that's what the private rooms are for right?? ;) I mean this restaurant has no high chairs, no changing table in the restroom, and no cups with lids. They are basically saying "uh... this is a fancy restaurant...leave your kids (or monkeys) at home". LOL ...OR "here's this room we have for you"... ;)
It was great.

And of course we got some good pictures :)

Oh! I finally got my hair cut and highlighted today. Yeay! :D It's very subtle... I may have to go more drastic next time. See? :) ...Gnight!

Ramblings Before Bed

Hello! :)
...phew! August is over! That month is always crazy!! Let's see... there's my sister's birthday, my parents' anniversary, Mat's birthday, and Jaedon's birthday... oh and my mother and father in law's big 50th anniversary bash! With the extra event this month, the birthday celebrations are spilling over into this month. We celebrated Jaedon's at Playwerx on Sunday and next we will be going to a fancy dinner to celebrate Mat's 40th! The fun never ends ;)
Mat and I were just talking about watching Jaedon's fun outgoing personality with his friends. It's so neat to see. He's friendly but not smothering. He's not too obnoxious... he just has this "isn't life GREAT?" kind of persona about him that is just magnetic! Mat is like that. And we think that Camryn may be following the same footsteps. :) She is a little more guarded with new people than Jaedon was/is... but she has her own little sense of humor developing! She likes to tease. Someone told me today that when they look at her they see commercials. :) Like that little girl in the juice commercial that is so excited about her grape juice. :) What a great compliment!
We took Jaedon to the bike shop today and I think she was more excited to be in there than HE was!! LOL!! She was going from bike to bike gasping and squeaking "ooooooo!!! oooooooo!!!! Look mommy!!! Look!!!" ...I really need to get it on video, because it's classic Camryn. :)
So... anyway, Jaedon got to pick out a new "big boy" bike. We bought one at Toys R Us when we got back from northern California, but the brake didn't work, and the tire was completely flat the day after I filled it! So I returned it and we went to a real bike shop to get him a REAL bike. It's great! It's a little lower to the ground than the other one which gives him (and me... hehehe) a lot more confidence. Look at him... doesn't he look big?? (He's on the original defective one... but you get the idea ;) I'll post another picture later.)

As far as his birthday party... he had SUCH a great time!!! From the moment we got there, he found his buddy, Megan, and they ran off into the play structure. :) So many of his friends were there! It was great!! He got some really neat gifts too! Some Lego sets, a remote control truck, some hot wheels, an I SPY game and book, a Spiderman car, a transformer, Mario Cart for the Wii, more tracks for his new Thomas set, a Wall E outfit complete with matching shoes, AND a Wall E remote control robot... that he absolutely ADORES!!! He has been taking his Wall E with him everywhere and has even slept with him the last couple of nights!

We've also been playing a lot of Mario Cart the last couple of days :) ... he actually didn't want to go pick out his new bike today because he wanted to play Mario Cart!! LOL

So thank you everybody for making his day so much fun!! :D ... I better get to bed and ramble more later... gnight!!

Birthday Boy

My little guy turned four yesterday!! Ahhhhh!! I LOVE the size and age
he's at right now. I wish he would stay this age longer. :( ...Then
again, he IS only about 1 inch away from the bigger kid rides at the
amusement parks. :) That will be fun! So there are definitely things
I'm looking forward to as he grows. We got him a Wall E game for the
PSP before we headed out on our weekend road trip. Look at his
sleepy, happy self playing it in the hotel room the morning of his
birthday. :)
We had a great time visiting family up in the bay area. I'll write
more about that later. I'm blogging from my iPhone on the drive back
and I don't have access to the photos.
Anyway... Happy birthday, Jaedon!! We love you so much and couldn't
have asked for a better son!!

Little Gym Monkey

Today was Camryn's second Little Gym class. After clinging to me in her first class I was wondering how long it would take her to warm up. The answer... one class! LOL She did great today!! She ran around the mat, and let the teacher help her with skills. She also participated in the parachute play... holding one of the handles on a big round parachute while we lifted it up and down and shook it side to side. But her favorite activity of the day was dangling from the parallel bars! It was amazing to see how strong she was! She could lift her little legs waaay up and hold them in that position for a couple seconds! ...Look at my little monkey! Her hands barely go half way around the bar!
Tomorrow I'm taking the kids to Legoland. We have annual passes. I am meeting an old friend there with her kids! I'm really excited... and a little nervous! lol! We were friends in 5th-8th grade!! So geez... let's see... it's been about 22 years I think. How weird. I have been reconnecting with a crazy amount of old friends these days, thanks to facebook! That site is booming!! It's so fun! Anyway... I need to get some things done before I go to bed, so cya later!

Sea World Drama

On Friday I used a couple of free passes (thank you, Heather) and took the kids to Sea World, where we met up with some friends. We had a great time. We let the kids play in the Sesame Street area the whole day, taking one break for lunch... where we encountered a bit of drama. ;D
...After we finished our lunch, my friend Sara needed to feed her son, so we let Jaedon and Ashlee play with the birds close by. There was a woman sitting alone a couple tables away. Sara watched as a seagull pearched on a rock behind her and eyed a burger on her table. The bird hopped down, swipped the burger off the table, and pretty much swallowed it whole. The woman did NOTHING. Not a thing! She didn't even flinch!! She didn't even WATCH the bird gulp the burger down... she just kept her nose burried in her map of Sea World. So Sara and I were havin' a chuckle over this bird stealing her food and we figured either she was finished with it and didn't care, or she didn't see it. Meanwhile the kids are having a great time chasing random pigeons around. So then the woman's boyfriend comes back (I assume it was her boyfriend because...let's face it, it's more likely that a dating couple would go to Sea World together than a married couple who does't have any kids...LOL). The guy throws his arms up as if to say "Where the bleep is my food???" Meanwhile me and Sara are giggling a bit... come on it's funny!!! Then the guy procedes to stare down our kids. He looked like he was going to grab them by the ears and give them a lecture! Then he stares ME down! I just laughed and mouthed "our kids didn't take your food!" Then the couple get up and the guy is cussin' about his ruined lunch and we could tell that he was trying to decide whether or not to confront us. So Sara yells out "OUR KIDS DIDN'T TAKE YOUR FOOD!" and he says "Yeah, but they are chasing the birds and that's what caused the bird to take my food!!" We were like... "WHAT??? That bird was waiting to steal that burger! Our kids didn't have ANYTHING to do with it!!! There are signs everywhere that say watch out for the birds!" Then he says "$12.50 burger...GONE!" And Sara goes "go say something!! They'll probably give you a new one!" And as he's starting to walk off he's yelling "No, forget it! Whatever! You ruined my lunch! Have a nice day!"
We were blown away! We didn't even get a chance to say..."WHAT ABOUT YOUR GIRLFRIEND??? IS SHE NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR JUST SITTING THERE AND DOING NOTHING?" Gimme a break!
Man... you should've seen that bird hork down that burger. We were laughing at the lump in it's throat afterwards. Hilarious.
...but seriously, what a jerk.

Yeay!! I have a blogspot!

Hello people!! I have a blogspot, I have a blogspot! Yeay!! :D I've been wanting to do this, but have talked myself out of it because I use facebook, myspace, and Geni. I recently started a little family website, but I didn't like the way their journal section worked because I couldn't post pictures within my text. So here I am... We'll see how it goes. ;)
I have kept a diary since the 11th grade, but with 2 small kids... I don't write as much as I'd like. I figure blogging is a little faster. ;) AND I can add pictures which is cool. :)
Enjoy :)
